New Product: Lynton Downs Farmstay - near Kaikoura
Lynton Downs is a working New Zealand farm set on the beautiful Inland Kaikoura Road and surrounded by mountains. We offer genuine kiwi hospitality and a chance to see what it’s like staying on a farm in New Zealand. You will be able to stay in the historic fully renovated historic homestead, explore the farm, chat with the farmer and his wife , visit the friendly farm pets and relax.
We are only 20 minutes from Kaikoura a beautiful coastal town with a diverse range of marine and local wildlife, walking and biking, fishing, kayaking to name a few activities.
We are a close day trip to Hanmer Springs a lovely alpine village and thermal resort with hot pools.
Blenheim and its wineries and restaurants are only an hour and a half away.

The East Wing
The East Wing
2 bedrooms:
• 1 king bed (can be split into 2 king single beds)
• 1 queen bed Located on the left-hand single-story side of the homestead this beautifully restored /refurbished apartment sleeps four. Warm, centrally heated, double glazed and wool insulated.
The East Wing has a beautiful open plan living /dining area and features a full kitchen and a laundry.
The East Wing is set amidst NZ natives and has two decks to enjoy the views onto gardens and farmland. It is a place to relax and enjoy the beauty.
The Karkariki (green) Room has a queen bed and also features a generous ensuite bathroom.
In the Kowhai (yellow) Room there is a King bed which can be converted to two king singles. The room has an ensuite bathroom with shower.
You will enjoy a comfortable Queen bed with good quality linen and warm feather duvets.
Facilities include:
• A separate living room has a large comfy sofa and chairs, throws, TV with SKY, DVD, free Wi-Fi, and a selection of books, games and magazines. Try your hand at a game of Horseshoes.
• Kitchen with oven/induction hobs, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and all kitchenware
• Complimentary tea and coffee (espresso machine)
• The bathrooms have a shower, robes, hairdryer, large fluffy towels and gorgeous e-friendly soaps and body washes. Laundry facilities are also available.

The East Wing is self-catering. Just bring along your own food, and cook your meals using the facilities of the fully equipped kitchen. There is also a recycling system in place.
