Mahaanui is a 600 hectare sheep and cattle hill country farm that has been in Simons family for 50 years. In addition to farming our property we offer unique accommodation options for independent travellers as well as an opportunity to experience a real NZ rural lifestyle. 

Come and join us in our farming activities, explore the farm by foot on the marked walking trails, have some fun in the kayaks on the river, leap off the cool secret waterfall, meet our friendly farm pets or take Simons interactive farm tour to really get a grasp of what we do. Or just completely relax in either the Mahaanui river cabin or Mahaanui cottage.

Tiniroto is not only an interesting area to explore , it is also a great location for day trips around the region- to Gisborne, Wairoa, Mahia peninsula, Lake Waikaremoana , Rere Falls and rockslide or the nearby Ruakituri valley well known for its excellent fly fishing.
